Fabrizio Giovanardi left the Romeo Ferraris team following the poor performance of Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR in WTCR. The 51-year-old double BTCC champion is only in 23rd place in the Championship two meetings before the end of the season.
“It was not an easy decision, but I am clearly disappointed that I was not able to achieve the results I expected. I came back to touring car racing because I wanted to win. I accepted the challenge with Romeo Ferraris because I believed in their project and in their team,” commented the Italian.
