Only at 19 years, two months and four days, Luca Engstler deviendra le plus jeune pilote de la Coupe du monde des voitures de tourisme (WTCR) à l’occasion de l’épreuve du Slovakia Ring (Slovaquie, 10-12 mai). L’Allemand, fils de l’ancien pilote Indépendants en WTCC Franz Engstler, est sous contrat avec Hyundai en tant que pilote junior. Il représentera l’équipe familiale, le Team Engstler, lors de cette invitation.

“There will be a bit of pressure and I'm already nervous, but I'm going to try to learn as much as possible, explains the teenager. My goal is realistic, it is to gain experience and finish the three races of the weekend. With the 20 kilos reserved for wild cards, it will be even more difficult, but I will do my best. »
