This year, the WTCR (World Touring Car Cup) offers two wild cards for each round of the calendar. For the second round of the season scheduled for the Hungaroring (Hungary, April 27-29), two locals will be able to fight against the 25 regular entrants: Daniel Nagy on a Hyundai i30 N et Attila Tassi (Honda Civic Type-R).
The first named has several seasons of experience in the WTCC (19th in 2017) while the second finished runner-up in the TCR International Series in 2017 behind Jean-Karl Vernay, at only 18 years old. “Racing in front of my home crowd in an FIA World Cup is a dream come true, indicates Attila Tassi. The level of the championship will be higher than ever, but I don't plan to make the numbers! »
GREAT NEWS! An extra Honda Civic Type R TCR will race at the next @FIA_WTCR in Hungary as a wildcard.
