William Byron (Chevrolet) won the title of the Nascar Xfinity Series for its first full season in the second category of the discipline after taking third place at the end of the Ford Ecoboost 300 won by Cole Custer (Ford). The JR Motorsports resident was the best performer among the title contenders against Elliott Sadler (Chevrolet), Justin Allgaier (Chevrolet) and Daniel Hemric (Chevrolet).
The new Xfinity Series champion, aged only 19, built his success by making an authoritative door-to-door overtake against his teammate Elliott Sadler.
