Yvan Muller set the best time in the first free practice session in Brno. The Frenchman set a time of 2:11:039, gaining the upper hand over his Chevrolet teammates Alain Menu (+0:146) and Robert Huff (+0:486).
Norbert Mischelisz places the first BMW 320 TC in fourth place, 0??684 behind the best time. Robert Dahlgren seems to be adapting well to the new 1,6 liter turbo engine in his Volvo C30 as he sets the fifth fastest time (+1).
