After replacing Oswaldo Negri Jr (#60 MSR Ford), it was AJ Allmendinger's turn to fight against Allan McNish (#8 Starworks Motorsport Ford). The two competitors hit each other on the banking at Daytona when the American overtook the Briton. The latter gave way to the German Lucas Luhr.

At the 13th restart, Ganassi Racing took the lead with Scott Pruett at the wheel of the #60 BMW. But AJ Allmendinger quickly took control and it is now Lucas Luhr who attacks for second position.

Le Brumos Racing continue de dominer la catégorie GT avec la Porsche GT3 n°59 de Leh Keen. Il reste deux heures de course avant l’arrivée.
