Yesterday, on the short Sebring track (1,7 miles, or 2,7 kilometers), Rubens Barrichello took part in his first test session at the wheel of a car byIndyCar. The Brazilian, who remained on track for six hours, covered 94 laps (or 254 kilometers) and was excited by this experience in the seat of the Chevrolet-powered Dallara DW12 of the KV Racing Technology team. “ I'm like a child, he confided when he got out of the car. It was a good and productive day with the different set-ups that we reviewed. Even though I'm 33, I'm a rookie in this job. During the morning, I just held on to the car because I didn't want it to end up in the wall. It's a very different machine than what I'm used to riding, but I felt a good feeling. » Barrichello will get back behind the wheel today for his second and final day of testing.
