According to the American channel Speed, Rubens Barrichello would not renew his contract with KV Racing Technology and would leave theIndyCar Series to focus on the Brazilian Stock Car Series. The 40-year-old Sao Paulista finished the Championship in 12th place this season for his first season in the discipline.
