Prema announced this Wednesday the arrival of Chloe Chong in its team F1 Academy

The 15-year-old British-Canadian started competing in 2013 and grew up karting in the UK, before making her international debut in the Rotax Max Euro Trophy and the IAME Ladies Cup in France in 2021. Last year she raced in the X30 Junior class of the British Championship and she was selected for the third edition of FIA Girls On Track – Rising Star where she was one of the four finalists. She had the chance to test a Formula 4 car at Fiorano.

« This will be my first year in motorsport and it is a dream come true to have had the opportunity to make my debut with a team as renowned as Prema, rejoices the teenager. I look forward to working with them, both in and out of the car, to build strong foundations and achieve results in F1 Academy. »

« We are always delighted to welcome new karting drivers and having Chloe on board for her motor racing debut with our new F1 Academy team is particularly exciting, says Rene Rosin, the main team of the Italian team. She has been impressive so far and she demonstrated it during the FIA Girls On Track – Rising Star selections and the FDA recognition camp. We believe we have seen great potential in terms of conduct and mentality, and knowing that she has a long way to go makes us confident about the future of our collaboration. »
