Author of the best time in the first free practice session on Friday evening, Jake Dennis (BMW Andretti) doubled the lead this Saturday morning before qualifying. With a best lap of the Berlin track in 1'06"228, the Englishman this time beat Lucas di Grassi (Audi) and Nyck de Vries (Mercedes).
On the French side, Jean-Éric Vergne (DS Techeetah) and Norman Nato (Venturi) secured a Top 10. The two men ranked 9th and 10th respectively, almost half a second behind Jake Dennis.
