Start of an eventful day in Dubai. Fighting for victory the day before, Gabriele Mini (Hitech GP) and Dino Beganovic (Mumbai Falcons) met this Saturday. After coming close to him on Friday, the two men were this time unable to avoid contact. Immediate effect since Beganovic was unable to finish Race 2 after the collision. Mini for his part was able to continue his path but took the checkered flag in a discreet 17th place, more than 26 seconds behind the winner.
At the front of the peloton, Nikhil Bora (R-ace GP) held up well to his opponents. In pole position due to the inverted grid, the Singaporean mastered his subject perfectly. While he was never really able to widen the gap with his pursuers, the driver of the French team did not give in to the pressure put on by Aiden Neate (Prema) who ultimately failed at just over 7 tenths. Starting 8th, Taylor Barnard made another comeback. He certainly did not gain 24 places, going from 27th to 3rd place as in Race 1, but the PHM Racing representative grabbed a new podium after starting from 8th place.
