Despite a commitment only including truckers at the start of the season, Romain Grosjean finally let himself be tempted by an experience on an oval in the United States. Last weekend at Gateway (Illinois), the Habs took part in its first race on this type of track.
Starting 14th, the former pilot of Formula 1 showed some good things during the event, as evidenced by his overtaking of five competitors in quick succession before his second stop. Suffering in the last part, he fell back to his starting rank.
« Well that was something, he wrote on social networks after this first on an oval. I enjoyed some very good moments (...) The final position does not reflect our very good evening ».
Satisfied with the result and especially the experience, Romain Grosjean shared a video of his first on an oval in competition!
