After missing qualifying in 2021, Richard Clayton Enerson will try to qualify for the Indy 500 for the first time in his career.

Will the second one be the right one? For the second time in his career, Richard Clayton Enerson will try his luck at the Indy 500 (May 28). The first attempt came to nothing since the Floridian did not qualify for the 105e edition with Top Gun Racing.

This time, R.C. Enerson will try it with Abel Motorsports which provides him with a Dallara DW12 with a Chevrolet engine. “ I can't thank Bill (Abel) and John (Brunner) (the team bosses) enough for giving me the opportunity to come back to the Indy 500., told the pilot.

In preparation for many months, the Abel Motorsports team is of high quality and has experience well beyond my age. I'm honored to wear the team's colors for the month of May, and although it's still a few weeks before we hit the track, I expect we'll be ready to hit the Speedway soon.."
