The pilots of Formula 2 are back in testing after the first two races of the season. The first morning of these three days of in-season testing in Barcelona was marked by rain, considerably reducing the teams' driving time. Felipe Drugovich (MP Motorsport) got through the drops to set the best time of the morning in 1:29.755.
The Brazilian, championship leader, beat the Frenchman Theo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix) by 0.165 seconds and the surprising Japanese rookie Ayumu Iwasa (DAMS) at 0.369. Another surprise, the last place of the champion of Formula 3, Dennis Hauger (Prema), in 1:31.730.
