Untouchable in the race at Barcelona last weekend, Felipe Drugovich (MP Motorsport) started the Monaco round perfectly. While waiting for the F1 from this Friday, the Brazilian stood out by dominating the timesheet of the F2 this Thursday afternoon.
Looking for the best timing to be least hampered by traffic, the championship leader completed his best run in 1'21"589 ahead of Ralph Boschung (Campos) in the final minutes of the session. The Swiss, who left Barcelona at the last minute due to neck pain, finished just 2 thousandths behind Felipe Drugovich. Dennis Hauger completed the Top 3 less than half a tenth of the day's benchmark.
Behind, the gaps were major due in particular to traffic. Unable to string together clean laps, some of the favorites found themselves trapped like Theo Pourchaire, discreet 10e in the streets of Monaco this Thursday afternoon. Often embarrassed, the ART Grand Prix driver was content with a best lap of 1'22"187, almost 6 tenths behind Felipe Drugovich, his main rival in the championship.
