Robert Shwartzman (Prema) dominated the only free practice session of the meeting F2 from Monaco, this Thursday morning. The Russian actually set the best time of the session ahead of Dan Ticktum (Carlin/+0 »5) and Jüri Vips (Hitech/+0 »5).

French side, Theo Pourchaire (ART Grand Prix) took 4th place at the end of the session, before missing the chicane on his last fast lap. He finally finished 14th in the session, ahead of his teammate Christian Lundgaard. Note the good performance of F2 regular Ralph Boschung (Campos), author of the 6th fastest time. Oscar piastri (Prema) finished best rookie in 5th position.

The session was marked by the mechanical problem of Marino Sato (Trident), the engine fire of Gianluca Petecof (Campos) and the accident of Bent Viscaal (Trident) mid-session. The championship leader Guanyu-Zhou (UNI-Virtuosi) set the 9th time.
