Stéphane Sarrazin was the fastest in the first free practice session for the London ePrix in Great Britain. On the Battersea Park track, the Venturi driver set a benchmark time of 1'26″450 and is ahead of Briton Sam Bird (Virgin Racing) by more than six tenths.

The gaps are significant since Lucas di Grassi (Audi Sport Abt Sportsline) ranks third, more than 2″5 behind and ahead of Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne (Andretti Autosport). Nicholas Cheers (e.dams – Renault) takes 10th place, Loïc duval (Dragon Racing) is 15th. His teammate Jérôme d'Ambrosio caused the session to be interrupted after experiencing a suspension failure
