Bruno Senna and Nick Heidfeld, the two Mahindra Racing drivers who initially qualified fourth and fifth, will start at the back of the grid. The Indian team was penalized after making an error in tire pressure.
Sam Bird (DS Virgin Racing) and Nelson Piquet Jr (Nextev TCR) inherit the places from the Mahindra drivers. Nicholas Cheers (Renault e.dams) inherits sixth place while Loïc duval (Dragon Racing) will start from ninth position ahead of his teammate Jérôme d'Ambrosio.
