Formula e – Abt dominates the morning

Daniel Abt, aligned with the car from Abt Schaeffler Audi Sport, set the best time of the session this Thursday morning during testing on the British track at Donington. With a best lap set in 1'30″073 Abt is 22 thousandths ahead of his compatriot Nick Heidfeld (Mahindra Racing). Nicholas Cheers (Renault e.dams), who caused a red flag by going into the gravel trap at the end of the session, completes the top 3.

On a track that was still somewhat wet at the start of the session, José Maria Lopez (DS Virgin Racing) was the first to get trapped. The Argentinian finished 12th this morning. Stéphane Sarrazin (Venturi) takes 7th place at 1″2, ahead of Jean-Eric Vergne (Techeetah).

Felix Rosenqvist (Mahindra Racing) enters the top 10 and is ahead of Ma Qing Hua (Techeetah). Sébastien Buemi (Renault e.dams) sets the 14th fastest time by more than 3″, when Loïc duval (Faraday Future Dragon Racing) is the last driver in the ranking to have set a time.
