Formula E – Garcia replaces Pic

Between the Test Day of 24 Hours of Le Mans last weekend and the start of the double round of the Sarthe clock in a little less than two weeks, Antonio Garcia will abandon the Corvette C7.R of the WEC for the Spark-Renault SRT_01E of the Formula E. The Spaniard will line up with NEXTEV China Racing this Saturday, replacing Frenchman Charles Pic. Garcia had already taken part in a round of the championship in Uruguay in Punta del Este, with an eleventh place finish.

He will meet the Brazilian Nelson Piquet Jr, championship leader before this ninth meeting of the season, following the disqualification of his compatriot Lucas di Grassi after the Berlin ePrix for a non-compliant front wing.
