The Fan Boost (which grants a surplus of 100 kilojoules, or 100 kW available for one second) for the first race of the Formula e in Beijing was awarded to the two NEXTEV China Racing drivers Nelson Piquet Jr and Oliver Turvey, as well as the DS Virgin Racing driver Sam Bird. The event is currently dominated by Sébastien Buemi (Renault e.dams)
