The first free practice session of the final of the 2018-2019 season of the Formula E, on the New York route, saw the domination of Alexander Sims (BMW i Andretti).
The official driver of the Munich brand completed his best lap in 1'09″959, beating by 18 thousandths Sébastien Buemi (Nissan e.dams), moved up to second position in the final seconds of the session.
Robin Frijns (Virgin Racing) took third place at 0″216 ahead of championship leader Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Techeetah), who made two mistakes at turn 6, but had unfortunate consequences for the Frenchman.
Antonio Felix da Costa places second car BMW i Andretti in fifth position at 0″327. Tom Dillmann raises his NIO to 16th position.
