Antonio Felix da Costa (DS Techeetah) set the best time in the first free practice session of the Marrakech ePrix in Morocco, brought forward to this Friday so as not to compete in the session too early tomorrow morning.
The Portuguese completed his best lap in 1'17″863 and was 0″103 ahead of Mexico City winner Mitch Evans (Jaguar Racing). Maximilian Günther places the first BMW i Andretti in 3rd position at 0″199, the rest of the peloton led by Oliver Rowland (Nissan e.dams) more than four tenths behind.
A first session from which Jean-Eric Vergne was absent, victim of violent headaches, and who was replaced at DS Techeetah by reserve driver James Rossiter. The latter achieved the 20th time.
