António Félix da Costa dominates EL1 in Valencia

The reigning champion of the Formula E, António Félix da Costa (DS Techeetah), set the best time in the first free practice session of the Valencia ePrix, the third meeting of the 2021 season.

The Portuguese completed his benchmark lap in 1'27″238, ahead of Maximilian Günther (BMW i Andretti) by 0″187 and Oliver Rowland (Nissan e.dams) by 0″222. Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Techeetah) climbs into fourth position at 0″237 and precedes Stoffel Vandoorne (Mercedes), who completes the top 5 at 0″287, while having complained of problems with his car at the end of the session.

Norman Nato (Venturi) sets the 19th time, 1″002 behind the best lap. This first session was rather calm on the track, with a few off-trajectory passages without consequences for the drivers and the machines. EL2 is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. and can be followed live video on our website.
