Buemi gets FP1 off to a good start in Uruguay

Sébastien Buemi (Renault e.dams) posted the best performance in Free Practice 1 of the Punta del Este ePrix (Uruguay). On the circuit laid out by the beach, the Swiss clocked 1'14"536, three tenths better than Jaguar Racing resident Mitch Evans (1'14"879). Outgoing champion Lucas di Grassi (Audi Sport Abt) completes the top three and returns four tenths (1'14″941).

The championship leader Jean-Eric Vergne (Techeetah) is in 5th place, half a second behind (1'15″098). Nicolas Cheers (Renault e.dams) is in the middle of the table, 10th by one second (1'15″584). Qualifying will begin at 16 p.m. French time and the race will start at 20 p.m. Saturday evening.
