After José María López in FP1 earlier today, Sam Bird put the DS Virgin Racing team at the top of the timesheet during the second free practice session of the Buenos Aires ePrix in Argentina.
The Briton, author of a best lap in 1'08″792, precedes the Swede Felix Rosenqvist (Mahindra Racing) by 165 thousandths and Lucas di Grassi (ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport), third at 0″262. The Brazilian also caused a red flag after hitting the wall in the last part of the session.
The top 5 of these EL2s is completed by Sébastien Buemi (Renault e.dams) and Robin Frijns (Amlin Andretti). Jean-Eric Vergne (Techeetah) climbs to eighth place just ahead of Nicolas Cheers (Renault e.dams). Stéphane Sarrazin (Venturi) took 14th position while Loïc duval (Faraday Future Dragon Racing) takes 19th position. The Audi driver in DTM lost the left front wheel of his car during the session, resulting in a red flag. The session was extended by five minutes following this interruption.
