The NIO team has announced the arrival in its ranks of the Chinese Daniel Cao, in a role of development driver. The 18-year-old Shanghai native comes off a 2019 campaign that ended with 3rd place in the championship F3 Asia after winning the 4-2017 F2018 South Asia and Asian Formula Renault Series 2018.
Cao will be able to start in the car NIO during the rookie tests in Marrakech, Morocco on March 1, a session where he will be joined by the Italian Antonio Fuoco, former member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, and already present at the young driver tests in Marrakech last year.
