Di Grassi director of Roborace

Lucas di Grassi has been appointed general director of Roborace, this autonomous car discipline which should be contested on the sidelines of the ePrix. The reigning champion of the Formula e with Abt Audi Sport was until now an advisor for the establishment of this driverless championship.

“We want to take Roborace where motorsport can’t go by focusing on the technology of future autonomous transportation. Autonomy is the future of mobility, it is an industry fact. However, I believe that the driver is at the center of motorsport. I want to develop the Roborace as a complementary thing to motorsport and not to replace it”, comments Lucas di Grassi.
