The race management of the Mexico ePrix displayed the red flag after the collision between Nelson Piquet (Jaguar Racing) and Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Techeetah) on the second lap of the race.
The Brazilian took off on the car of the Frenchman who defended his position and ended his race at the side of the track after hitting the protective barriers, with the car almost destroyed on its front.
Piquet also hit the BMW i Andretti of Alexander Sims in his outing, whose car was also damaged, just like that of Vergne. The first champion of the discipline finally got out of his Jaguar.
