Lucas di Grassi (Abt Schaeffler) was the fastest in the third free practice session in Montreal in 1'21''442. He is ahead of both Renault e.Dams of Nicolas Cheers of 4 tenths and Sébastien Buemi of 7 tenths.

Antonio Felix Da Costa (Andretti) is fourth ahead of Felix Rosenqvist (Mahindra) more than a second behind the Brazilian. The DS Virgins of Jose Maria Lopez and Sam Bird are 6^e and 7^e ahead of Jérôme d'Ambrosio (Faraday Future Dragon Racing) and Jean-Eric Vergne (Techeetah).

Loic duval (Faraday Future Dragon Racing) achieved the 12th^e time, Stephane Sarrazin (Techeetah) 15^e et Tom dillmann (Venturi) 17^e.
