Sébastien Buemi (Renault e.dams) achieved the best time in testing for the Marrakech ePrix (Morocco) with a time of 1'20''599. The reigning champion was 2 tenths ahead of Felix Rosenqvist (Mahindra Racing), while Jean-Éric Vergne (Techeetah) completed the top three with more than 6 tenths behind. Oliver Turvey (Nextev) and Loïc duval (Faraday Future Dragon Racing) rounded out the top five. Daniel Abt (Abt Audi Sport) is the last driver less than a second from the benchmark.
Lucas di Grassi (Abt Audi Sport) set the 9th fastest time. Jérôme d'Ambrosio (Faraday Future Dragon Racing) is 16th ahead of Nicolas Cheers (Renault e.dams) and Stéphane Sarrazin (Venturi Fe). The session ended with an accident for Sam Bird (DS Virgin Racing) who set the 11th fastest time.
