Harry Tincknell signs with NIO

Harry Tincknell joins the NIO stable in Formula e as a simulator development pilot. The resident of Chip Ganassi Racing who races on a Ford GT entered in the GTE Pro category of the WEC and Mazda Team Joest in IMSA took part in the Rookie Test of the Electric Single-seater Championship last January in Marrakech (Morocco) and discovered the discipline last year during a private test session on the Calafat circuit (Spain).

“I immediately felt at home during pre-season testing and the Rookie Test. It's the perfect situation for me to help develop the car while gaining experience with the particular techniques required in Formula E.", commented the winner of the LMP2 category at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2014.

 

 

The NIO team also employs Ma Qing Hua as a test driver. The Chinese will argue the first two rounds of World RX on a Team Stard Ford Fiesta.
