Best time for De Vries, Da Costa and Günther in ambush

Back for the first free practice session, Nyck de Vries was more comfortable late in the morning on the Tempelhof tarmac. The Dutchman set the best time in EL2 (1'06″846). The pilot Mercedes ahead of world championship leader António Félix Da Costa and Maximilian Günther. Third at the start of the day, Jean-Éric Vergne could not do better than 11th position.

This afternoon, qualifying will take place at 14:15 p.m. as well as the race scheduled for 19:00 p.m. local time.
