La Formula e and Michelin have confirmed the continuation of their partnership until at least the end of the 2020-2021 season in the 100% electric single-seater championship, the 2017-2018 season of which begins this weekend in Hong Kong.
The Clermont-Ferrand manufacturer has been the official supplier of the series since its beginnings in 2014, offering a single rubber allowing it to operate in dry or wet conditions. The French firm is actively working on the development of tires which will equip the next Formula e single-seaters.
The STR05e must indeed offer profound modifications for the fifth season of the championship, as evidenced by the visuals of the concept revealed earlier in the year.
