Oliver Turvey (NIO) set the best time on the first day of testing for the Formula e in Valencia (Spain) with a lap completed in 1'18''565 in the afternoon session disrupted by several red flags following track exits. Sam Bird (DS Virgin), fastest of the morning, hit a barrier. André Lotterer and Edoardo Mortara (Venturi) stopped on the track, while Jean-Éric Vergne (Techeetah) finished in the gravel.

Sébastien Buemi (Renault e.dams) increased the pace by finishing 12 thousandths behind the reference, while his teammate Nicolas Cheers set the eighth fastest time in the second session of the day.
