Sam Bird successfully operated on, Taylor Barnard will continue his interim with McLaren in Berlin

Injured left hand (fracture of the fifth metacarpal of the little finger) after contact with the wall in free practice, the Briton Oliver Turvey (NIO) was unable to start the first race of the New York ePrix this SATURDAY.
The team also indicated that Turvey will miss tomorrow, and will be replaced by reserve driver, Chinese Ma Qing Hua. The former WTCC resident with Citroën Racing had played with Team Aguri in 2015-2016, then Techeetah in 2016-2017, and had competed in the Paris round with NIO earlier in the current season.
