This Sunday was an opportunity for the teams to compete in two driving sessions on the Riyadh track in Saudi Arabia, where the first round of the 2018-2019 season took place yesterday. Formula E.
If Robin Frijns (Virgin Racing) had set the best time this morning in 1'10"544, 0"891 ahead of Oliver Rowland (Nissan e.dams), it was ultimately Sam Bird (Virgin Racing) who concluded the day in lead by signing during the afternoon session, a reference time of 1'09″668, a little more than a tenth ahead of Jean-Eric Vergne (DS Techeetah), second in the ePrix yesterday behind Antonio Felix da Costa (BMW i Andretti).
These runs also allowed several female drivers to test the Gen2 single-seaters, including Simona de Silverstro (Venturi), Beitske Visser (BMW i Andretti), Tatiana Calderon (DS Techeetah) and Carmen Jorda (Nissan e.dams).
