Dutchman Robin Frijns retains his seat with the Virgin team in Formula E for the 2022 season. Second in the general classification before the final in Berlin (Germany, August 14-15), Robin Frijns has been playing with this team since 2018, i.e. for 36 ePrixes. “We have a great car and a very talented and dedicated team that does a phenomenal job, indicates the person concerned. Together we have managed to achieve a lot of consistency in one of the most unpredictable and competitive series in the world, which is not easy.
We're delighted to announce that @RFrijns has extended his commitment to @EnvisionVirgin 😀
The Dutch driver will continue to race with the team for Season 8 of the @FIAFormulaE World Championship ⚡️

Having Nick (Cassidy, second driver) on the team is also great – we work very well together and complement each other. The standard on the Formula E grid is incredibly high and this championship gets tougher every year, so you need the best team around you to succeed. But I think overall we are in a very strong position heading into the last two races of this year and Season 8.”
However, there remains an unknown, and not just any unknown: who will power Virgin next season since it seems that no supply agreement has been found with Audi, the current technical partner of the English team.
