Davide Valsecchi (iSport), solid leader of the GP2 Asia Series general classification before the second race in Abu Dhabi, consolidated his position by winning this Saturday. The transalpine driver was able to climb to the top of the peloton, overtaking his opponents one by one to secure a second victory in four races. He won ahead of Michael Herck (DPR), Giacomo Ricci (DPR), Sergio Perez (Barwa Addax), Oliver Turvey (iSport) and Max Chilton (Ocean Racing). Despite a very good race, Jules Bianchi (ART Grand Prix) and Charles Pic (Arden) finished just outside the points, in 7th and 8th position.
Next meeting during the weekend of February 28 for the first of the two meetings in Bahrain.
