At the wheel of the Bob Stallings Racing team's Corvette DP, Jon Fogarty and Alex Gurney took pole position for the 11th meeting of the Grand-Am season. On the Gilles Villeneuve circuit in Montreal, the two men set their best lap in 1'33"135 to beat the BMW/Riley of Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas (Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates) by 0"087. The No. 3 Ford/Riley from the Starworks Motorsport team driven by Ryan Dalziel and Alex Tagliani completes the Top 3.
