Romain Grosjean (Andretti) was the victim of an accident at the start of the 106th lap of the Indianapolis 500 this Sunday, May 29. The Frenchman, who was then riding in the middle of the pack, lost control of his Dallara in turn 2.

The impact occurred on the left side with violence but the former pilot of Formula 1 emerged from the wreckage unscathed. Romain Grosjean had set the 9th fastest time in qualifying and led a very wise first half of the race, notably by remaining cautious during three restarts.
