For the last free practices before qualifying for the Indy 500, it was Marco Andretti (Andretti Autosport – Honda) who was the fastest on the Indianapolis oval with a time of 38″753 at 232,239 mph average (more than 374 km/h). He is ahead of the defending champion Tony Kanaan, rather discreet until now in his DW12 from Team Ganassi (Chevrolet), and Ryan Hunter-Reay (Andretti Autosport – Honda). simon pagenaud (Schmidt Peterson Motorsports – Honda) and Sébastien Bourdais (KV Racing – Chevrolet) took 7th and 8th places.
