Will Power (Team Penske) won his second race in a row by narrowly winning against simon pagenaud (Schmidt/Hamilton) who failed in second place after having made a splendid comeback. Takuma Sato (Rahal) was supposed to take third position but the Japanese was forced to make a mistake on the last lap and it was James Hinchcliffe (Andretti Autosport) who completed the top three. Sebastian Bourdais (Lotus Dragon Racing) only finished 17th after going into the tire wall. Dario Franchitti (Ganassi Racing) finished an anonymous 15th place.
