The four-time champion of the discipline beat Championship leaders Will Power and Helio Castroneves (Team Penske). Ryan Hunter-Reay (Andretti Autosport) completes the second row ahead simon pagenaud (Schmidt Peterson Motorsports) and Tony Kanaan (Chip Ganassi Racing).
