Qualifying for Race 2IndyCar in Detroit (Michigan) were canceled due to particularly rainy weather at the Belle Isle street circuit. Juan Pablo Montoya (Team Penske) will therefore start on pole in front of his teammate Will Power. Scott Dixon (Ganassi Racing) and Helio Castroneves (Team Penske) will form the 2nd line. simon pagenaud (Team Penske) will start from 8th position ahead of his compatriot Sébastien Bourdais (KVSH Racing). Tristan Vautier (Dale Coyne Racing) will start from the back of the grid.
