A resident of Sarah Fisher Racing in 2011, a team to which he gave its first victory on the Kentucky oval on October 2, Ed Carpenter will be the only driver-owner at the start this season. His team, Ed Carpenter Racing, has just announced the deal signed with Chevrolet for the supply of turbo V6s. With this officialization, this brings to 11 the number of single-seaters which will be powered by the Detroit block in 2012, divided into four teams (Andretti Autosport, KV Racing Technology, Panther Racing and Ed Carpenter Racing).
