Helio Castroneves offers the first victory of the season to Team Penske by winning at the end of the Firestone 500 contested at Texas Motor Speedway. The Brazilian, who became the seventh winner of the season in eight events, led more than half the race to reach the finish line with a clear lead over Ryan Hunter-Reay (Andretti Autosport). Tony Kanaan (KV Racing Technology) completes the top three ahead of Ed Carpenter (Ed Carpenter Racing) and Marco Andretti (Andretti Autosport). simon pagenaud (Schmidt Motorsports) took 13th place while his teammate Tristan Vautier finished in 18th position. Sebastian Bourdais (Dragon Racing) ranks 20th.
