Schmidt Peterson Motorsports will line up for testing this Thursday on the Mid-Ohio track with Claman de Melo and Jack Harvey at the wheel of the single-seaters powered by the Honda unit. de Melo, 18 years old and originally from Montreal in Canada, is playing this year for Juncos Racing in Indy Lights and is currently in tenth place in the second division of IndyCar Series with a fourth place as best result at Road America (Wisconsin).

Harvey is a well-known driver for the SPM team, whose colors he has defended for the last two years in Indy Lights, finishing runner-up twice. de Melo will pilot the car No. 7 usually entrusted to Mikhail Aleshin, when Harvey will take his place in James Hinchcliffe's No. 5.
