Group Lotus has just announced that it is terminating the contract which linked the engine manufacturer to Bryan Herta Autosport and Dreyer & Reinbold Racing. The Bryan Herta team which drove Alex Tagliani will no longer compete in any events with the Lotus engine, but Oriol Servia will still be present in Sao Paulo with a 6l twin-turbo V2.2. The English engine manufacturer will continue to work with HVM Racing and Dragon Racing where Sébastien drives Bourdais while the other two teams will have to select a Chyevrolet or Honda engine to continue the season.
