French simon pagenaud is one of the six drivers who will compete for pole position for the Indianapolis Grand Prix in a few minutes. The Schmidt Peterson Motorsports driver will be joined by JAck Hawksworth, Will Power, Scott Dixon, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Sebastian Saavedra. Sebastian Bourdais (KV Racing) took 7th place just ahead of Juan-Pablo Montoya (Penske).
Note that these qualifiers are contested in the rain.
